Todd Cohen was fired from Philanthropy Journal, which he had edited since it began its column in the News and Observer in 1991.
The exile of Cohen and other staff members comes just two years after the journal was donated to North Carolina State University's Institute for Nonprofits by the A.J. Fltecher Foundation. Currently, the journal is being produced by three interim consultants.
